There have been some studies that show men who use laptops ON THEIR LAPS have lower sperm counts, but that effect was related to the heat the laptops give off and their influence on testicles (who like to be cool to produce a lot) -- there aren't any studies I've ever seen that have called the "raditations" from laptops dangerous in any way.

I travel a lot, and when you're jet-lagged and in a strange hotel room it can be hard to sleep. I often put either music or a DVD on my laptop and fall asleep with it going. As long as you don't toss and turn so much that you knock the laptop on the floor during the night, there's no harm :)

Well if your computer is in screen saver mode then there will be no chance of these right?

no you shouldn't do this buy a mp3 player or somthing!! your laptop should not be on this long of a period.. burn image in screen. it uses much more watts than a normal radio. so your wasting energy.

No, that's not true. If it were true, it would be just as harmful to sleep by it as it would be to have it near you while you were using it. You should tell your gf not to believe everything she reads.
