I hope Tony declares a days holiday !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No make that a TWO day holiday, one to get absolutely p!ssed the other as a day of recovery !! he he :)

Well, if you base any decision on the 2003 Rugby World Cup then yes, there would be a national parade (possibiy through London). Sven Goran Erikkson (being a Swedish citizen) would not be allowed to call himself "Sir", but would more than likely be made an honourary knight with MBE's, OBE's and CBE's for the team.

No. Erikkson is a Swede. Foreign citizens occasionally receive honorary knighthoods; they are not dubbed, and they do not use the style 'Sir'. Rooney may not play, so it's more likely to be Sir Michael or Sir Crouchy, but yeah, I'd reckon there's a possibility of a notional holiday.... put it this way, if England wins the final I ain't ******* going to work the next day....
