My guess is that 2 seater sofa is for really big people who are so wide that regular sofa won't fit.....

2 seater doesn't include a loveseat.
In this context 2 seater sofa is as wide as 3 seater sofa.

Well Depending upon the space at each home and the number of frequernt visitors as well as house hold members a decision is taken to go in for three seater or two seater sofa sets..The big TWO seater sofa sets you have mentioned are specially designed sofas .

If space is an issue, a large 3 seater sofa wont fit but a smaller 2 seater will!
