Is this a negative? Would he gain from waiting or is he possibly confused/not sure? We had already come to an agreement as far as assets, alimony, length of alimony about 3 mos ago. He stated that he wants what is best for me. Why hasn't he filed, yet? Should I worry? I have even asked if he still wants to go through-he says yes. FYI: I love him and don't want D-reason i haven't filed.

you need to file yourself and get this over with...do not wait on him...and let him go, you may still love him but why? why would you want someone back who has left you and treated you this way...get this over with, the sooner you do the sooner you can move on

Look, in his mind, he's already divorced. There probably are a few benefits to him financially for not making it official (insurance, alimony, tax breaks, etc.) which is all the more reason that you should file and move on with your life.

Some states require that you be separated for so many months. You have to live apart at least 6 months. But sounds like to me he wants you to file or he wants you to take the first step about getting back together.
Don't make the same mistakes as !, if you don't want the divorce & you still love him fight for him. Apparantely he is waiting for something from you.
"he stated that he wants what is best for me"..Tell him that he is what's best for you.

I wouldn't worry about why he hasn't filed. It's certainly not because he still loves you. He's doing what he wants to do. Don't wait around, live your life and when you get the papers, sign them and keep stepping.

Laziness.

But more pertinent is the love you have for someone who rejects you.

Life is too short to be wasted on someone who doesn't care. File yourself, get it over with and move on. You'll regret all this wasted time later.

However, if you're a wimp who can't wipe her own butt, then stay married, wasting your time, and wasting your life. Maybe it's the best you can get.

I don't think he really wants this either but something in your relationship is bothing him to the point that allows him to keep his distance...tell him you want to work this out, ask him if you both can fix this together and seek advise from a marriage counciler...do all you can until its all but a memory...good luck.

Sorry that your marriage is in trouble, but there may be hope, he may be rethinking his decision or he just may not want to go through an ugly "d" and having to share all his worldy possessions with you.

He wanted out of the marriage but he wants you to pay for the divorce. That's how some men are they want out but want you to pay. I know you love him but it might be for the best.
