I'd have to say Shawshank Redemption. Although not frightening as one would expect from King, it was a really inspirational movie, the power of the human spirit and all.
As far as scary goes, I 'd say Cujo shook me up because when I saw it I had just been bitten by three dogs that were loose in the park! And I love Pet Semetary.
The worst would have to be Maximum Overdrive! He went a little nuts on that one. The Mangler is supposed to be coming out soon about a clothes pressing machine that comes to life after having some devilish herbs dropped in and a virgin's blood when she cuts herself at the laundromat. It was a lame short story and I don't hold out much hope for the movie!

The Shining was good. So was Dolores Claiborne because J.J. Leigh's in it.
The Stand and IT are a secret pleasure - rainy day - on cable (for 4 hours) - type movie.
Probably the best was Stand By Me.
A young Keifer and River Phoenix and that fat kid who isn't anymore and Will Wheaton.

I hate Stephen King movies. They almost always ruin the story. His earlier book (pre-Dolores Claiborne) were the best. But the movies always fell short.

I really like the 1996 miniseries version of The Shining, and Misery and Shawshank have undeniable class and quality, but I think the one I could watch over and over again would probably be Stand By Me.
Or Christine.

I like them all. Some are corny as all get out, others are well done with decent budgets.
I prolly like Misery or Needful Things the best.
Oh and Cat's Eye....that one cracks me ups!
And the ole standby...The Shawshank Redemption....everyone loves that.
