Is there a product, spray on or otherwise, that I can buy commercially to fix a slow leak from an old pipe?

There is apprx. one drip every couple minutes. I would need to apply this product directly to the spot on the pipe. This would save me the major expense of having to replace the pipe.

Depending on the size of the pipe and the location of the leak, if it is not at a fitting you could use stainless steel band clamps and a rubber gasket. I have used this method to fix pinhole leaks along the side of a pipe and it is by far the easiest and fastest way. If it is the fitting that has the leak you might have no choice but to remove the fitting and replace it if you can't get a clamp around it.

But if it is a very old pipe you should think about replacing the whole thing. A small leak could be an omen of bad things to come, and these bad things usually happen at very bad times. A flooded place would be even more a a very very bad thing, and would make the bad thing of the original pipe leak seem like a very good thing indeed.

You will not save any expense buddy,, if it is an old pipe then your leak is an omen of bad things to come,, do the job right the first time and spend the few bucks now to fix it,, or spend tens, hundreds and maybe even thousands if that leak bursts when you aren't expecting it and damages who knows what!!!!
