Do you know a good place to have lunch there? Plus, what time does the last Green line coach leave for London?

Great answers so far, very helpful. I will be coming from London, do you think the train or the bus is better?

Walk towards the river from the main street (where the castle is) and you will come across Browns on the corner. They do lovely food and have outside seating overlooking the river.

The Donkey house a little further along the river was always a great place for a drink in the summer evenings.

Sadly, last time I visited Windsor I ate at McDonald's. It was good and fast, but not the ideal place to have lunch.
Stopped in a pub with a caboose on its sign and that was great. Had really good atmosphere. Don't know the name.

Its so touristy there though that things get pretty crowded around lunch time.
Finding a ride back should not be a problem. Use this website to plan your trip and keep up to date on delays.

I was going to go once but then the old woman next door got locked out and I spent the whole bloody day trying to get into her house without doing too much damage.I got the loan of a set of ladders eventually and managed to squeeze in a small, open upstairs window and no damage was done.Unfortunately, the silly old moo tried to move the ladders herself and dropped them and they went straight through her beautiful bay windows and done £400 worth of damage.
Why dont you bring some little triangular sandwhiches and cocktail sausages and a lovely bottle of Q.C fortified whine and sit by that big river that goes through Winsor. You will probably see some really posh people.I hope you have a nice day.Any chance I could come with you?I promise Ill behave myself.....PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Lots of places to eat, stay away from the Castle if you are looking for cheap food. Otherwise their are a couple of good Tapas Bars in the Railway Station, ( Not W&E Riverside the other one) Can't help with the bus, I use the Train, it runs later.

Windsor is lovely for walking around on a nice sunny day - lovely little cafes and restaurants too.... Say hi to the royals while you are there!
