They will call it the transition age...where technology was growing faster than the people could keep up with. Also a transition on the political spectrum - from the far left wing's downfall to the hugh numbers of votes switching their registration to Republican or Libratarian.
As a matter of fact, there will be lots of other transitions during this period such as vehicle fuels, and plenty of others...
They will also look back at all the slanderous, tresonous statements made by democrates and think how wrong they were for the country...George W. Bush will be then known as a great President, ranking up there with Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Regan and etc. Future generations will even make currency with George W Bush on it.
Just wait you will see...

Nokia Age is cute, and not too far off. This is the age of technology. Our world is in grade school right now. At some point, if we don't blow ourselves up first, we'll be at a more collegate level, where everything about us makes sense and the misunderstood features of today will be a part of the past. We'll never know everything, like "where is Jimmy Hoffa?", but we'll never stop looking. That's what science is. Finding new and better approaches that are logical. Faith will linger, but time and technology will prove many right, but most wrong.

Probably the Information Age. It was a period of time with the major development of the Internet, which has allowed for global communication. If you mean millions of years down the line, I'm not sure how well any records would hold up. We don't really have a clue about things that far back anyway.

We may be on the verge of a new Global Age soon though.

I presume our age will be called Llate Scientific Age – an age the gave birth to collective human mind.
As a mattter of fact, in order to guess what future generations will think of this this age, it is necessary that we have at least some kind of understanding or idea of the mind of the future people. According to my presumption, in the future, or near future, people will develop mind independent of mere physical or material constraints. In the future people will be able to consider material existence as a dimentional option at a basic and essential level of existence. The futuristic mind will be known, or will know itself, in terms of collective awareness and universal consciouness.
If we assume that this will be the case than may be we can define our age with some sort of accuratcy and reason. I guess, the people in the future will consider and our age like this: They will say our age to be an age where people started to realise the limitation of of our scientific approach. the most significant this that this age will be remembered for would certainly be the emergence of information technology that enable people to come together and think alike - the beginning to formation of a collective or universal mind that all can experience.

British historians will probably call it the Second Elizabethan Age or Era. Long-reigning monarchs tend to have their names borrowed for this purpose (Elizabethan, Jacobean, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian).
Way back in 1968, Ragni and Rado, the writers of the musical "Hair" asserted this was the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius, but I doubt it will catch on!
