the light at the end of the tunnel is not a metaphor for hope its a train in this murphys law...... or at work if something goes wrong coz your boss made a wrong decision people often say its murphys law like it means tuff luck or some kind of proverb.... what do you know about this and try not to be sarcastic like all the others when giving an explanation

Yup- 'if it can go wrong it will'. It's also known as 'Sod's Law'. We say it in a bad situation. It may not help the people suffering feel better, but it helps the person saying it to dismiss the problem at hand. Like- 'this isn't my problem, it's a universal law'.

I heard the joke about the light at the end of the tunnel being an oncoming train. Another one is that the light is just someone coming down the tracks with a torch to bring more work.

I dont know about light at the end of the tunnel part, but Murphy's Law is: "If it can go wrong, it will go wrong."

The Murphy's Law that has been around for centuries is "What can go wrong, Will go wrong"

murphys law is.when you drop you toast and it lands butter side down.you stand at a bus stop for 20 mins and then walk around the corner and the bus goes past.your early everyday for the bus and its late.then the first time your late its early.thats murphys law.
