I have an account that ends in @sbcglobal.net but when i go to yahoo.com its already signed in w/ that email so I cant get one for just yahoo.com

in country you enter as US

SImply in the country select U.S. then the yahoo address will have a .com ending

Have you tried entering www.yahoo.com in the address bar - then clicking on "Mail" -- you might be told you have no account and asked if you want to open one.

if you are in the u.s then it should be on there to begin with and also any email account you start with yahoo should have it to begin with
