Please, allow me to explain my question.
Many abortion advocates, (Pro-Choicers) believe teaching abortion in stead of abstinence is necessary. The reason being, people, (of various ages) will have sex no matter what they are taught. Including rape, people have sex under either of two circumstances: voluntary or involuntary.
If one believes sex is, (or at least, can be) voluntary, then they must agree that those who voluntarily have sex should be held responsible for their actions. Thus, a man who impregnates a woman must support the woman and child. A man who rapes a woman or child must recieve due punishment for his actions. A woman who is impregnated by consectutal sex must bare responsibilty of her actions.
However, if one believes sex is instinctive, (thus, the urge is uncontrolable) how can he hold one responsible for any sexual situation or the results thereof? Should rapist be institutionalized and not imprisoned? Should pedaphiles be pittied?
Please, explain your answer.

FYI, I hate pedaphilia and rape. I'm just giving people who support teaching abortion over abstinence an opportunity to defend their "logic".

So then why not just have every young girl or guy at the age of puberty have a sterilization operation which have a 60% chance of reversal rate. Then nobody has to worry about killing babies they do not want and the population of the world would slowly diminsh. No responsiblity for their actions in anyway. We live in a world where no one wants or is taught to be responsible for their actions. When children were discip[lined for breasking a window and had to fix it themselves or work to pay for the damages it taught compassion for the indiviual and respect for toher person around you. These days very few parents even take care of their own children let alone teach them valuable lesson such as compassion and remorse. This does not mean we are animals unable to control our emotions or feelings. This does not mean we have no control over anything we do. Some people say it is in our nature to kill too. It is a cop out it gives them an excuse for doing what they did with out having to justify it. The difference between apes and men is we a supposed to be civilized individuals. We are suppose to have the brain power to rationalize against negative behavior. We just don't want anyone to make us do this anymore. We have become a society of people who care only for themselves and their own pleasures. Go back to teaching our young the golden rule and the world can change. 2yr olds in Iraq are taught tonhate all americans. So by the time they are 18 they do not know how to think about anything else. No different than in the early 1800's how all american white children were taught to despise black children. Same difference children live what they are taught and they are our future.

As someone that is pro-choice, let me clear you up on a few things:
#1. Nobody teaches abortion over abstinence. Period. The reality is that teaching abstinence ONLY does not work, their has to be other information given, so that people that do have sex know what all of their options are. Pro-choicers are not opposed to abstinence, and at clinics that provide pregnancy termination, they do try to get people on other forms of birth control, so that they don't have to go through it again.
#2. Being pro-choice is not about saying that abortion is this wonderful little solution to life's problems. It's about saying that women have the right to make decisions about what goes on with their own uteruses.
#3. Terminating a pregnancy is a difficult decision for a woman under the best of circumstances. However, sometimes it is more responsible for the woman to end the pregnancy instead of bringing a child into the world that will live off my taxes dollars because she's not at a place right now to provide for that child.
#4. Do NOT say that rape is involuntary sex. Sex is two people both wanting to. Rape is a horrible, violent act that involves sexual parts of the body. Sex is sex, and rape is rape, and the two are no where near the same.
#5. Rape is not an uncontrollable urge. That is demented. If that were the case, then only beautiful attractive women would be assaulted. The reality is that all types of women are raped. We had a case around here a few months ago that it was an 86 year old woman. You want to tell me that the 20 year old that raped her just couldn't control his sexual attraction. It is an act of violence, hatred, and control. NOT SEX.
#6. Pedophliles should be shot, not pitied. I had a case where a 42 year old man said that the 10 year old he molested seduced him. Who in their right mind is going to pity someone like that?
Your chain of reasoning in your question is flawed, to say the least.

There is no reason why people should be given leeway (sp?) for sex offenses. Although we may have very strong sexual urges, they are not uncontrollable, and if you feel that you have urges that are, you need to see a doctor, not rape a young girl. I am very pro-choice and I don't believe I have the right to tell anyone what they should do with their bodies, but I do think that you need to take care of yourself. It costs a few bucks for a three pack of condoms at 7-11. It will cost much more, financially, physically, and emotionally, to have an abortion done. In cases of rape, abortion can sometimes be necessary. I think that in any case, if possible, the child should be given the chance to have a life, and this can be done through adoption services, but I also think that there are many children who go unloved and uncared for in orphanages and bouncing from foster home to foster home and that isn't a good life. A fetus cannot take care of itself. It is a parasite using the mother as its host, and that means that it is part of the mother's body, and she should reserve the right to make decisions about it. I would never condone teaching abortion over abstinence. How about safe sex? Would it really be that hard to teach kids to use condoms or other contraceptives? Telling them not to have sex makes them want to do it more. Telling them that they can have a lot of fun and feel confident in their safety is a much better option.

How does one "teach" abortion? I mean, you can tell someone what abortion is and why you might have one, but I cannot imagine an entire course being taught on why abortion is the right thing to do and is a viable alternative to abstinence or protection.
What is your basis for saying that Pro-choicers teach abortion? I have never heard of this before.

First of all, pro-choicers do not believe in "teaching abortion." It is extremely important to teach abstinence, but for those who do have sex, it is even more important to teach them how to use protection and make it readily available.
I personally am pro-choice, but I do not believe that abortion should be used as a form of birth control. I have mixed feelings on the one-time "oops, I made a mistake" abortions. I feel very strongly that in cases of rape or severe birth defects that abortion should be an option. I also think that very young girls (pre-teens and young teens) should not be forced to endure childbirth, but their parents should be informed of their decision to have an abortion. Older teens (16+) should inform their parents, but shouldn't be forced to do so.
As far as being held responsible for something that is "instinctive," human beings have rational thought and the ability to make their own decisions. The majority of rapists know that they are going to rape...they just have to wait for the opportunity. Sexual offenders have one of the highest recidivism rates, so in my opinion, trying to rehabilitate them is pointless. Pedophiles should not be pitied for committing their crimes, however it is sad that there are so many disturbed people out there.

First off, I am a pro-choicer and I've never heard of anyone wanting to teach abortion in classes. That is absurd! What I do feel should be taught in class is safe sex. Teens are having sex and you telling them not to is not going to stop anyone. Teach them the risks and tell them the best ways to avoid them (abstinance) but also tell them how to protect themselves when they do feel ready for sex.
Not doing so is setting them up for failure, for pregnancy, for STDs and AID's and I don't understand why you want to hurt the youth of America. The way to prevent abortions is to educate. Teach them how to avoid it and you avoid abortion. Banning abortion will only cause closet-hanger abortions and I don't think you support that, do you.
I do not feel any sympathy for pedaphiles. They are sick and depraved and need help controlling themselves but I feel no sympathy. They are adults and should seek help. They should control themselves better. No urge is uncontrolable. Drunks can learn to not drink, druggies can pick themselves up.

I don't think that abortion instead of abstinence is a pro-choice platform. I'm sure most pro-choicers would prefer to teach the use of contraception.
That being said, sex is instinctual. However, man is not ruled by his instincts. We are rational beings who are responsible for our actions.
When I am hungry, my instincts tell me to kill something and eat it. I subvert this instinct with my will and act in a manor that is appropriate to the society I live in.

No. Obviously neither is the correct answer, that's why we need to step up and teach more birth control. So even if a women is regrettably raped, no child will be created, and the issue of aborting is no longer valid.
Rapist's and pedophiles should be lobotomized. End of problem. As neither is an issue of sex but of power and loss of self control.

unlike animals we are not simply obaying our genes but have self-control. in our natural state i would OWN several woman probably after killing the last man and eating his children but I don't. perverts should be shot not pitied. in the case of involunatary then abortion is justified at all times while as the result of consentual remember contraception often fails or circumstances change dramatically(eg husband loses job and the copuple feel they cannot afford to raise child)

I think your logic is faulty as well. Abstinence is one form of birth control, there are many others. I don't advocate abortion as a form of birth control, and I don't think most responsible people do either.
