Phone is ringing but no one answers.

1) No, I do not pay for GPS regularly, but it is enabled on my phone.

2) I have the SIM card number. IEMI is not with me.

3) Yes, I have a MyNextel account associated with my bill.

4) No, I do not have Direct Protect lost phone insurance. It has to be added BEFORE the phone is lost.

Is there any way to track it for free? Will Nextel support help me out here?

Thanks!

The answer you are looking for is no. Nextel does not track missing phones. I'm a Nextel Dealer and had a customer that lost his phone and Nextel told us that he would have to purchase a new phone. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I'd have to guess no. If you wanted to track your phone (such as if you were a business owner, and wanted to track your employees through their phone) it would require an extra fee for the service, and it would require a JAVA app to be downloaded and installed on the phone itself. Being your phone doesn't have that installed and running, you may have no luck. Also the phone would have to be facing the sky so if it was lost indoors, or with a lot of buildings blocking it, the GPS wouldn't work anyway.
