You have put your question in India section, let me try answering it in Indian context.

First, the wages are paid to workers as defined in the Factories Act and the Workmen Compensation Act. These could be on daily, weekly, monthly or contractual basis. These Acts define workers vis a vis wages besides various judgements by the authorities/courts for cases specific.

In the absence of other significant details about your employment, nothing can be said said for sure whether you are a worker or wage earner, hence eligible for other legitimate benefits thereby.

Salary earners, as against wage earners, can definitely have the legal rights under the Indian Trade Unions Act to be organised thru trade unions in India and for your convenience, bank and LIC employees in Public Sectors are two very strong examples of such organization thru trade unions.

For your specific problems, you should consult a specialist / professional on Labour Laws.

These questions are too general to be answered on here. If you are considering employment with a company that does these things they certainly can be asked to them. You may need more details here, than what you are giving.

Wages are generally paid by the hour or job.
Salaries are paid by a flat rate regardless of the hours worked.

What makes playing criminal or unlawful is whether or no longer or no longer the employer thats allowing the playing has a license to accomplish that or no longer. devoid of the license its deemed "unlawful" and once you do have your license this is deemed "criminal". the reason you pick a license is as a results of the fact institutions that holds playing would desire to uner circulate audits somewhat oftentimes and are oftentimes taxed very heavily. Its kinda like the variety you cant be a physician till you have a PHD. Does that make experience? lol.
