I once relied on my anti spyware detector and it told me I had a trojan in my system32 folder. I went to delete it, but it said that I couldnt delete anything in that folder because it was a systems folder that has disc protection. So I started the computer in safe mode and then asked to boot up in MS DOS mode.

So I get to the command prompt and I type:
cd windows* (enter)
cd system32 (enter)
rem
or
del

So it removed it. Then I rebooted my PC to normal mode to start windows.

All of a sudden, my sound wasnt working and it said I was missing that file.

Whats the moral of the story?

I would do research on that file and see if its indeed a trojan. You cant rely on spyware detectors to find trojans because not all of them detect things correctly. That file might actually belong there, so please be careful.

If it lets you delete it straight from the folder, then you should be able to just go to MY COMPUTER, C drive, Windows, then System32 and locate that file and delete it. Just right click, then delete it. If there is system protection on that file, or if it says that file is in use, then you will need to use my method that I used above to delete, using MS DOS reboot method.

If you still have problems, just contact me.

right-mouse click, delete
or
go into DOS and delete it from there.

Keep in mind that messing in the System32 folder is dangerous and can kill your PC.

i wouldnt reccomend looking for it and manually deleting it. cause you might really mess up your computer.

you can try downloading kaspersky antivirus. that will get rid of any virus or malicious file you have on your computer without messing anything up. theres a 30 day free trial when you download it, so it wont cost you anything. heres the link :)

If you don't know what you are doing - I suggest you don't delete it, especially that it is a SYSTEM file. It can do damage to your computer.
