I live in the US so dont tell me I dont know what i am talking about. It seems these people would rather hunt scapegoat gays and illegals than improve their lives or country. What a load of crap. Why cant these morons wake up and start doing good things, electing responsible leaders, and stop bashing others as a means of self justification.

Unfortunately Trisha, we co-exist in a society where the core value system has been corrupted. The one thing to remember is that we are all products of our environment or society.
I sense some frustration with your revelation. I don't believe this is any reflection on you. Yet, there are ways to alleviate this by taking an active approach. Posting this question on 'Answers' is a start. Any desire to help change these things in society won't happen if no one does anything. Some people become teachers and this void in their lives is filled. Others involve themselves in community awareness and activities. There is a great deal more that you can do.
Something else to ponder is: Now that you've announced to the world that you see something wrong. Does remaining idle and complacent about this force you to accept some complicity in this?

Did it ever occur to you that uninsured illegals - with various ailments and diseases which we supposedly eradicated from the U.S. years ago - are bankrupting the healthcare system, overwhelming schools and proliferating the increasing expense of various social services? Slowing down the flow of illegals over the border WOULD improve the country.

About electing responsible leaders, look around you. How many people do you know personally who are up-to-date on world news and politics? Saying we should elect responsible leaders is like saying we should eat healthy and exercise. Everybody knows it, but a large percentage of the population just doesn't do it. Plus, I think "responsible leader" is as big an oxymoron as "same difference" or "military intelligence."

I don't think you realize the impact of massive illegal immigration, both in terms of national security and in terms of the drain that it puts on public resources -- health care, welfare, education, and so on.

Like every other country in the world, the USA has every right to protect its borders -- especially in this post-9/11 world. If that makes us "stupid" in your eyes, then I'll gladly be called stupid!

As for gays, I really do not know where you're coming from when you say that they are being "scapegoated." Gays have it better in the US than they do in almost every other country in the world.

If taken as a separate minority group, then they are by far the most affluent and most educated minority group in the country. Where's the discrimination? Where's the scapegoating?

You say you live in the US, but if there are things going on here that are so distasteful for you, you can either work to change them or you can get the hell out.

But calling people "stupid" just because you disagree with them is highly immature.

Americans are neither more nor less "stupid" than people anywhere else on the planet. Besides, it seems as if your definition of "stupid" is rather politically oriented. You may have a point when it comes to discrimination against gays, but why is not wanting people to enter the Country illegally "stupid?"

Most of the illegal aliens I have met are relatively honest, hardworking people who are only trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. This is, IMHO, commendable. But starting a new life by violating the law isn't the best way to go about it.

Some people seem to need others to look down upon in order to feel better about themselves. But that's more sad than it is stupid.

Americans are brainwashed by the media and Bush. People feel the need to belong so they follow and jump on the bandwagon. If someone grew some balls and stood for a cause thats actually worthwhile (Instead of hating on others like gays, muslims, jews, canadians, etc) maybe then the world and America would be a better place. But thats wishful thinking cos people love to hate!

You just labeled an entire people group "soo stupid"???
pathetic.
Here is an example of her previous questions:

over dramatic bf, plz help!?
I met this really hot, nice guy last week, and had a great time with him. He's not all that smart, but was soo much fun, and good in bed. Now, my bf is all put off and jealous. I think that is weak, and he should be more accepting. I mean he's great, but a little on the insecrue side. How do i tell him he's over reacting?

Need I say more?

Your question and comments are totally against the community guidelines, so you know what happens next don't you!?

But to answer your question, America is the best country you can live, why do you think so many people are trying to come here illegally?!? You seriously need an attitude adjustment!!

CNN is a dull group. They convey within the equal men and women to speak about International occasion, Domestic Events, Medical Events, Criminal Events, and many others. Their Guests are authorities in the entire fields. Such as David Girgan.

Start with yourself. Vote and elect responsible leaders. Campaign for them. Get out the vote. Devote your energy to what you think is important. Criticizing others (which is what your question is doing) is also not helping.
