The best team! Not England... I don't follow football, but I just know there's no point in getting worked up over it, it's the same every year, the whole 'gallant loser' trip, and 'If that decision/penalty/corner/bar room brawl/ middle eastern war had gone our way, we'd have got it' analysis...
Wayne Rooney? My prediction is that he will be on the bench, then he'll try to play, then everyone will cheer, then he'll have to come off because it's hurting him.
There. I don't follow football, and I have an opinion on Wayne Rooney's ankle injury. That's the all-pervasive modern media for you. At least I can vent some of my spleen about that by moaning on this answer site ;) And where else am I going to voice the opinion I never wanted to have in the first place?
Seriously though, may the best team win, and the best of our awful British luck to our lads...

Why do so many stupid people answer?!
Karen - Stop stealing points, if ya dont like footie, keep out of Q's that mention the World Cup
Jim B - Racist
Hardcoco - 11 in a team, 23 in the squad - we dont rely on Rooney
Arenas - Here's a hint, dont go into the Q if you're sick of them!
Paranoidtaxi - Rooney's a very talented player - imagine france not hoping Henry performs, Brazil never wanting Pele to do well, get back to your badminton you know nothing about football
Buzzard - "I dont follow football" enough said, GOODBYE!
So, apart from them obvious non-footie fans I've gotta say England because Im English and like every year, we hope, we dream, we expect...
This year dont ask "Can we win", more to the point we should ask "shall we win" and I say, "YES WE SHALL"

Could be England's year... Crouchy is proving his skills. If not then I would say possibly Italy. Brazil's ego is too big now so they'll probably mess up from all the hype.
I'd obviously like England to win but I would also like to see USA do well cos they make for interesting games.

I hope England will win, if Rooney is not fit, there still is John Terry!!!
I think France has a chance as well to win the world cup.
I'm from Holland, but I don't think they'll win, we let Guus Hiddink go to Australia!!
I'm a different Karen btw.

I think that the team that wins the final game will win the world cup. And I didn't say Brasil.

England's team should be able to make it to the quarte finals. After that , it depends on if Rooney is healthy enough to play. Holland is my favorite to win it all.
