If you have anti-lock brakes this is normal, if it is severe vibration, it could be your brake rotors or drums

There could be a few causes. My anti lock brakes in my old Explorer caused a vibration when I got on the brakes hard. Or you could have a warped brake rotor. No way to tell without taking them apart and inspecting them.

You need new breaks! They are worn most likely. If you have not replaced them since you bought the truck, then you need too!
Also just in case, check the level of your brake fluid.

Could be one of two things - either you're in need of new pads or you may need new shocks / struts. Poor suspension system can also cause the vibration when braking.

more than likely, your front rotors are warped. you should have a local repair shop or dealership check it out for you.
