Let's have a world cup holiday when England win this time, also on the day they won in 1966...

Then, introduce holidays every Friday and every Monday too for the benefit of the nation as a whole. Laziness is important.

Yes they should declare it as a yearly national holiday so that future generations can also celebrate the '2006 World Cup Win' Day.

Yes yes yes!!! If (when) England win, there should be an annual holiday lasting a week where we should HAVE to have paid time off work and pubs/clubs should sell all drinks for a pound and have buy one get one free offers on everything!

i think there should be two days holiday.the world cup is always played on a Sunday.so Monday should be set aside to celebrate and Tuesday to get over it.and you don't have to be an optimist because we will win it buddy no worries.dont take any notice of the tossers that say different.their only jealous because they are losers haahaa.

Rumour going around was the PM was going to announce that there was to be a national holiday. This was denied but lets hope.

Hmmmm i dunno did Canada have a National holiday when we won Olympic gold in Hockey.....nope, and hockey is a big as soccer in England. Would we have a holiday if we wont the world cup in say....2090.... still doubt it, we have the 3rd fewest holidays in the world.
