I don't believe it would be better if all women ran the world, but we as a nation would be better off if we had politicians with diverse backgounds including women and men.

I have been in work situations surrounded by women and the office politics was brutal. The women in congress voted to support the "War on Terror" right along with the men. There are women Mayors and Governors and their cities and states don't have lower crime rates because a woman is in charge. I think the idea that women would be better than men is sexist and simplistic. In the real world there is not evidence to support that point of view. If one were to examine statistical information I am willing to guess the results would show no clear difference in most areas based on the gender of the leader.

There is an old saying "Behind every great man is a great woman". Most, if not all, major world leaders throughout all history were married or had a close, sexual relationship with a woman. This includes both the honourable and dishounourable leaders.
The point being, dictators, conquerers, dominators, and all the dishonourable had a woman supporting them. Proving, women can be just as cruel and selfish as any man. Just that these women do not have their faces in our history books. The men do.

Go sister! I'm not a feminist but believe women are more capable than men in many areas of life.
Of course women would run the world more peaceably.
We, the female of the species, are not naturally aggressive as are the opposition.
My big question to all men would be, 'Why do you think you are better equipped to run anything?'

We absolutely need to get more women into government all over the world, but its not about women running the world, its about women having just as much a say in power than men. Especially in the U.S., we lack diversity in every aspect of our government.

This is always an excellent and thought provoking question. I have always said that there would not be as much war because men are the ones that start those.
But until women truly learn to support each other instead of being envious and putting each other down, we will never get very far.

Women are too emotional and tend to make the majority of their decisions from the heart, that's not a bad thing, but it would be if they were in charge. Believe me, you don't want a woman who's going through menopause making important world decisions. I'm having a hard time taking care of myself, let alone the whole world. lol

It's a great idea, especially if there were strong willed women like i know, then they'd blow this planet to pieces until there was only 1 country left..... or maybe it'd all be happy and peacefull. I vote choice 1.

I think men and women were created because we need each other to balance each other out in everything, in all kinds of jobs, etc.
Look at all the women in Canada's government: http://www.collectionscanada.ca/women/002026-800-e.html
"This brings the average of women in parliament (Congress for us in the U.S.) in 187 countries to 16.3%, up from 15.7% in December 2004.
Of the 39 countries that held elections in 2005, the numbers of women in parliament increased in 28 of them. The largest gains were seen in Latin American countries where some countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Honduras and Venezuela) have implemented quotas to promote women in politics. Other countries to implement special measures are New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Burundi, Liberia, Afghanistan and the United Republic of Tanzania.
As of February 2006, there are 19 countries with women making up over 30% of their parliaments. In order of highest percentage, those are: Rwanda (48.8), Sweden (45.3), Norway (37.9), Finland (37.5), Denmark (36.9), Netherlands (36.7), Cuba (36.0), Spain (36.0), Costa Rica (35.1), Argentina (35.0), Mozambique (34.8), Belgium (34.7), Austria (33.9), Iceland (33.3), South Africa (32.8), New Zealand (32.2), Germany (31.8), Guyana (30.8), Burundi (30.5), Tanzania (30.4).
In a list of 187 countries, America ranks 69th percentage wise with 15.2% of Congress being women. But after accounting for ties, the USA is really 83rd on list "

On one hand this could be a good thing because women are picky but on the other where also to damn emotional and a lot of times that takes control of our better judgment.
