Ok here's how it happened...... Baseball game, I'm on second, teammate hits a single, I round third and head home, close play at the plate, catcher in my way, I slide hard into him, take out his legs and he falls on top of me. My back ended up in a horrible position!

if you have a pain that lasts more than a couple of days, go see a doctor, because it could be more dangerous than you think. but if you are able to move around and it just hurts when you sit in a certain position or sit for to long, try a back patch. they work pretty well. also try the cold/hot. try a cold patch then a hot patch and continue to alter it. also try taking hot showers and letting the water roll down your back. you are also try sleeping on your side instead on your back, and then again you can try sleeping on the floor for a few nights. if you don't like sleeping on the floor, get a piece of wood (old door) and place between your mattress and spring, to give you extra support. try to take it easy for a while. it better to take care of it now than later.

call a massage school near your area (look in the phone book) they charge like 30 bucks for an hour long massage. They know exactly which spots to hit and you will feel alot better.
Also try a heat pad

you may want to see yor doctor or a chiropractor you may have slipped a disc or something...in the meantime a heating pad on the back might help also laying on the floor flat with your legs up on a chair or couch will ease the pain a bit..but I'd go see a doctor

You could have sprained or twisted something like a muscle or you could have bruised or misaligned your spine. Best to see someone very soon, the longer you wait the worse it may get. Ask around with friends and family for a good chiropracter.
