Try a baby name book from another English speaking country. What are common names there could still be quite unheard of in the UK. Otherwise, old fashioned names are always familiar but not widespread amongst babies of the Noughtees. I am not suggesting Mabel or Gertrude, but Alice, Dorothy etc... would be a bit different from all of the Clare's and Sarah's (no offence) and there woun't be the pronunciation problems involved with obscure names.

Whatever u like......sometimes you need 2 c the baby first, I know lots of people who had one name thru out pregnancy but changed their mind when baby arrived coz it didn't suit them. Read the credits that roll after telly programmes and films as there are alot of unusual names found that way, or maybe combine 2 names. I like Bethamy

Depends where you live!!!!
If you dont live in Scotland then Callum or Cameron are great unusual names for a boy!
I also love the name Adelaide for a girl!
If ou live in the Uk then perhaps you should look at more common American nmes, Correy ect

It would have really helped if you would have mentioned which nationality/ religion you are from.
I mean if you are christian and people suggest Krishna - it won't be very helpful to you.
Try the web site www.kabalarians.com - Not only will you get a huge list of names, but you will also get a reading on those names.
