It's funny you ask because my mother doesnt cry and has a lot of patience and my father is a waterhead and has 0 patience. Needless to say, I am hot and cold. Thanks mom, dad.

Definatly
i totally see the same thing
just like my dad
i see it when i talk to my sons or have to scold them or s just when i even have my morning cig with coffee and my newspaper i sit drink and respond the same he did
I don't hate but i find that it's just from the repetativness from watching them do these things all the time growing up
becomes part of our nature just with our own little twist
we are the same age so i know exactly how you feel
Feel like we were cheated
12 years as a kid
7 years to be a teen then
45 or longer to be a grown up
how about 40 years of being a kid and 40 or more or adulthood

I look a little like my mother, but my father acts like he comes from Mars. I think I was the son of the postman or the milkman.

Seriously.

I see a lot of myself in my father, and they are all good qualities, and that is because my father is a GREAT guy. I see very little of my self in my mother, and sadly to say the things I see of my self in her are the things I hate about myself. Those things would be my short temper and my quick to speak actions before I stop to think. We are all a part of both of our parents. It is them who created us so it is soooooo very normal.

People say I look like her physically.

And lately, I've realised I've been telling my kids the same things she used to tell me and really annoyed me.

I don't know if saying things like that has made me turned into my mother, or simply it has made me sound like her!

(By the way, I bite my tongue more often now)

I'm just like my father, but everyone always told me I would be.

But, luckily my Dad is the coolest dude ever!!!

Being like him means a lifetime of fun!

He works hard and plays hard, so do I. He likes to be out in nature, so do I. He loves to party, so do I!

Totally! I yawned like my mother the other day. She does this thing where she says "oh yeah" in a yawn. Yup, that's what happened. I was like, "OMG! Did that just really happen?!"

Since they are our parents and we learn most of our views from them, it woudl only be natural to turn out with similar traits. I've aquired my dads slow approach when thinking of how to handle a problem. I take my moms style of not taking crap or abuse from anyone.

OMG, we will turn out like them!!

You tend to pick up on the same habits that the people you are around the most have.
