Well, if you're not paranoid and wish to store your data online, there are services.

Streamload (http://www.streamload.com) is a great service, and it is reliable and quick to do data over the internet.

You can have up to 25gb for free, but the catch is no file can exceed 10mb (large videos? Yeah right) and a total download limit of 100mb /mo. (Whoops, I can only get 1/25 of my data)! It's intended to nudge you towards a paid plan.

Streamload Basic (2gb/ mo, unlimited space) is 4.99 per month. Streamload Standard (25gb/per mo, unlimited space) is $9.99 per month. Streamload enhanced (50gb per month, unlimited space) is $19.95 per month. Finally, Streamload Premium (100gb/mo, unlimited space) is $39.95 per month.

What do I recommend? If you don't have a ton and don't want to pay, get Basic. If you need the upgrade, try Basic. And if you really need to upgrade, get Standard. Anything above that seems overkill.

There are other ways, but Streamload is reliable and quick, readily accessible, and easy to use- so I recommend it for you.

Storing data online can be expensive and usually it takes a long time to upload or download when needed. You should purchase an external hard drive so you can quickly store and retrieve your data. The prices for these drives have really dropped and the sizes are enormous.

I use for storing my important files such as outlook addressbook, letterhead or other stuff I need when I am out of town and which is virtually available via internet and they offer 1 GB of space. Try http://www.allmydata.com/download.php.

You can always use Yahoo briefcase. If storage isn't enough (30Mb) you can e-mail yourself any information you want and keep the e-mail in a personal folder (250Mb). If storage isn't enough you can try getting several e-mail accounts or buying extra storage.

For internet storage, I use ibackup. They have a decent service and it doesn't cost a pot full of money. TX
