What happened to american independence and courage. Are we a nation of sheltered cowards now ??

Because they are afraid, yes. I find this rather alarming, even though I can understand it. It's also frightening because it sets a precedent. It puts the wheels in motion to impose more restrictions and loss of privacy, rights and freedom for the sake of the illusion of safety.

i'm not willing to give up my freedom. But, alas I'm to old to go to iraq. oh! i'm an american and possibly in some countries you wouldn't be able to go on the internet so, i don't think i'm a sheltered coward.

We've become a nation of sheep being led to slaughter. We're being led by the most secretive government in the history of this country and hardly anyone is speaking out. We should be enraged. It's pitiful.

I voted against George Bush two times. It isn't my fault. I am embarrassed to be an American and I hate my president and everything he has done to my country.
