How come back in the day when I watched Brave Heart when it first came out I thought the special effects were amazing and everything looked real. Then I saw it again the other night on tv and it looked so fake! I could tell exactly where the real stuff was and where the fake backdrop and scenery started. It didn't look real at all. Why?

Because the movies aren't designed for the television screen.

When u ppl gonna realize that movies have only a little pinch of reality in them? For example, wouldnt u be surprised if some actor went in the screen without make-up, unless its a very special movie?

Because real special effects and CG of this day are so far advanced it makes those movies look like they are from the 20's

we are being spoilt by technology and are expecting perfection so when it isnt quite perfect now we notice it
