some people like to descirbe anothers behavior or gestures staments as being a retard yet some people are born with mental retardation why do people use this term to describe another.

It would be a metaphor, no matter how inapproprate. They are saying that it is something that a retarted person (or rather 'stereotypically' retarted person according to the public's option) would do. Similarly people use the words 'lame' and 'gay'... it's not very PC but it gets the point across.

cause they what to make them selfs feel better by picking on other people that are less then they are and i get made when someone calls someone that cause its not nice
