No, he is not straight either......he has no sexual preference, or that is what I heard from the creators.

The creators said they had no particular gender in mind, but most kids portray him as a boy. Therefore i would call him gay because once he adopted a baby oyster, and once he married Patrick the Starfish. On the other hand he doesn;t seem so interieted in the cleavage of his Boss' daughter, the whale.He's very guud frnds with sandy the squirrel/beaver, but he doesn't seem interested in her. He has a high pitched laugh, so he is kinda gay...he wears really short shorts and no t'shirt d entire life....

Despite vicious speculating rumors-Spongebob is NOT GAY. In fact, I don't think he is even ready to be in a relationship with anyone of any gender of any species any time soon.

come on...spongebob's just a children cartoon show...there's no need to portray him as a gay....in children's cartoon world, everything is innocent and there's no questions about sexuality or gender issue. therefore, pls do not put such a statement to it.
