This is a very aggresive Hawk and it's been a beast in the area. Now he's hitting a nest right on the front porch in a hanging basket that the wrens nestted in.

Hang some fine netting in front of the nest (but not too close) where the hawk swoops. The wrens will see it but the hawk won't and it will scare him when he hits it.

As tough as it sounds, don't interfere.
That's how nature works. It seems cruel but things always work out in the balance. If the hawk wants the chick it's ultimately going to get it. But the good news is that there are enough wrens hatched to offset those lost to predators.
Hang in there.

Much to my sorrow you must let nature take its course.
I know it sounds terrible, but thats about all you can do not unless you put a fake snake around the pot, then the wren might not come in a feed the babies.
Try this...rubber snake.one of thoes blow up owls maybe...then watch and see if the wren will still come to feed. Trying this is better than nothing

unfortunately, it's nature. survival of the fittest.
in this situation the hawk is the fittest.

at least it didn't ransack the entire nest.

just leave them alone. it would be wrong to do something to the hawk, b/c that is worse than the hawk getting the baby bird...b/c you are doing it out of the wrong reasons. the hawk is just trying to live, you would be hurting it for the wrong reasons.

take care and enjoy the birds that are left!

Unfortunately, there is very little you can do to scare off a hawk. Try a fake owl, or a crow call

Gosh, this is a tough question. I guess you could hang some netting to block it's flight pattern.
