You will not need to get phone service, but you will need to get either cable, DSL or satelitte high speed access. Whichever service you select the provider will either let you use a modem for free or charge a small amount each month. You will also need a wireless router and wireless cards for each pc you want to connect.....or you can hope that one of your new neighbors has an unsecured wireless connection and then all you would need is a wireless card :P

no you cannot get a connection for wireless unless you have got a bt landline and if other residents of the house object to you using the phone line that is already there then you have two options, option 1 go wireless broad band so others can use the phone while your on the net, option 2 get another line installed with a diffrent phone number.

You need to see if you have WiFi access in your household. If you do then you do not need a lanline to hook up to the net. If you don't have WiFi access you can buy a WiFi router and set up a wireless network in your household. This means you would have one connection from the phone line going into the router which could be accessed anywhere in the house through WiFi. This whole system won't cost too much (depending where you live) and shouldn't be too hard to set up (just follow the manual)

The cheapest way to get a wireless internet connection is to have broadband connected and hook up a wireless router. I don't think you can get broadband without a phone line connection. The only other option is to use your mobile phone for a truly wireless connection but it will be ridiculously slow and ridiculously expensive.

Wireess connection is always without a phone line(wire)

you need a broadban connection which can either be setup over telephone line or cable line.
Invest some money for a wireless router and everyone can be connected wireless.
