Have you heard the saying "A watched pot never boils?" I think this is true when it comes to getting pregnant. It took me 13 months to conceive my first child, with regular "trying" and I was 23. My periods were late, I took home tests constantly, the stress was incredible. Finally I just broke down and gave up, the next month, preggo! My best friend just spent close to a year in anguish as she was trying to conceive her first child, at 29. When she finally stopped thinking about it, told everyone she wasn't trying anymore (lots of outside pressures too) and just got busy with her life she conceived and is due in January.

It'll happen when it's supposed to happen.

Nope its not easy AT ALL!!! Try to tack your ovulation. Buy ovulation test, they can start to get expensive though if you dont conceive right away. Thers also a microscope (Ovulite) measures minerals in your saliva to determine when ovulation is near and when its happening very easy and conveinant and cheaper in the long run $30 for your lifetime!!! Website below. Its also avail at cvs thats where I got mine. Try the other website also you put in some info and it helps you determine your fertile time. Last, have sex either him on top, you on your back, with a pillow under your hips and after he ejaculates, lift your legs and stay there for 30 mins to help the swimmers get to where they need to be. Try not to move around much after either for a while.Or have sex rear entry, and when he ejaculates, try to keep him still inside, not pulling in and out. Oh, they say that sperm count is highest in the mornings so maybe give it a whirl...

Have you been on the pill? Studies have found that the effects can last for a few months or longer. So, just relax, give it time. If you find that after a year you are still not able to conceive, contact an OBGYN. You and your husband need to both be examined and tested, usually the problem is with both partners.

How long is awhile? It can take a year to conceive in couples where the man and woman are both fertile and without any complications. If it's been longer than a year, it's time to make an appointment with your doctor. Your doctor can ask questions and recommend some minor testing to begin with to see if any problems can be identified.

Talk to your OB-GYN. You may be referred to a fertility specialist. Getting pregnant doesn't come easy to everyone. Your doctor may suggest a ovulation monitor (there are only a couple days of the month when you can conceive). Haveing children is very rewarding but sometimes getting them is difficult.

Good luck! I hope everything works out well! ;)

It depends if you were on birth control and what type you used. Sometimes it takes time for the body to get back to normal after birth control.

Getting pregnant isn't always easy. I would consult my gynecologist and see what (s)he thinks about the situation.

Relax and don't think about it, stress or anxiety can be a problem. Give it a year and then see your Dr. and good luck to you.
