i live in Michigan, and we live by some wet lands and every year about this time we get thousands of baby toads hopping in the grass. We have been taking them to a nearby pond because all the construction going up. Anyway for the 2 or 3 days before we take them to the pond im not sure what to feed them? Will ants do? I have them in an aquarium with grass chunks and water to live in before the release.

Ants should do, it depends how small they are, or you can give then really tiny crickets. But make sure, if you give them ants that the ants wont be and irratant to the toads.
Its great that you release them! :-)

If you are just relocating them in a couple of days, they do not need to be fed. Just make sure they are warm and moist.

In nature, they eat little flies and small insects. WC (wild caught) frogs and toads do not do well in captivity and often refuse to eat.

Ants will do.

PS: Don't put a frog and a tadpole together. It's most likely the frog will eat the tadpole.

It can take a week or two for him to settle in and feel comfortable in his new home. Make sure you have proper water pool and humidity and heat mat for him! These guys are pigs...he'll eat soon.
