Ask yourself if your married or planning to get married how will allowing gays to get married change ANYTHING? I used to be a homo hater but one day I just stopped and thought about it. I'm NOT GAY so why the hell should I care what two consenting adults do sexually. They don't bother me and I don't bother them.... everybody is happy!

I am not Gay and I believe that they SHOULD be able to marry. I am glad you were able to grow up and realize that it doesn't effect you, or me or any other straight person. I just wish the rest of the world you see logic instead of religious ideation.

I am NOT gay and I don't care if gay people get married!. It is their life and if this is what they choose to do then that is their business. I do have a problem if I am subjected to seeing them in public displaying affection only because I don't believe the same sex should be together. I would not be disrespectful though and ask them to stop because it is not my place to judge them. I believe in live and let live and each shall at the right time will answer for those things they did to the higher power.

okay here's what i don't get. people are always putting down gay men. what about the women? why don't people get onto them?

i'm not gay. but i think that if a gay couple wants to get married and have a family, then u should move your a** out of the way and let them. they are simply wishing to do the same thing we straight people are: have a lifelong commitment and prove it by getting married and having that official document.

people talk about how it's morally wrong. well straight people do things all the time. they cheat on each other, get some sort of STD and don't tell their partner, we steal. oh here's a big one for those of you who believe in "God's" way: we judge others. now correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't there a placein the bible that says you're not supposed to judge others, its not your place? maybe not in those words but it's there.

Now if you are a believer, i think it says somewhere that god created a woman for the man..not a man for the man... BUT THIS ONLY APPLYS to those believers.

Ya see we all are believers in some way, shape or form....
I believe the sky is blue at times and my kids say mommy it is green. they believe it is green , i believe it is blue.

Feel me so far?....good,

Just like clothing, Some men believe a female should wear a dress all the time, and others believe a female can wear the pants in the family.....

Feel that scenerio? good!

It is simple, it is all about beliefs..What one chooses to believe...Yes I agree if you are not in that scenerio, why should you care...but the simple matter of the fact is "they"(the ones who protest) believe it is not right....
Which in returns brings out those who believe it is right ......
and there you have it a mini-war! over gay marriages....and there is so much more bad thing to focus on to change in the world/economy today...if they'd take that energy and put it into something more positive ...I think it would be rewarding...

As far as this whole gay thing...i think, my opinion, they need to not focus so much on this issue...Gay is always going to be around, just like it was when parents, grandparents and great parents were around.....it is just more open now...

thanks for the time to speak ;)

I am a straight female and personally I dont care what others do with their lives as long as it is not hurting anyone else. And if gay people want to get married then they should because love is love after all.

I agree with you in principle - as far as i'm concerned two gay people should be able "marry" just like the rest of us - but I think it should be called something other than a "marriage". The word marriage means union between man and woman and I believe that definition should stand, so have a mirror image of marriage for gay people, but give it its own unique name to reflect the uniqueness of the relationship.

a lot of marriages end in divorce these days, and a lot of people get married for the wrong reasons..so if two people (same sex or not) want to get married because they LOVE eachother and want to share a life, then what is the problem? marriages that occur because people find it's convinient financially or there is an unplanned pregnancy or other reasons that do not include LOVE should be the ones to worry about.

Really the only reason I care is because statistically most gay men have many many partners and spread lots of diseases including HIV and AIDS and some gay men are married and take that **** home to there wifes which is terrible!! I think with me I hate it because it has to do with character! I have the desire to do things like cheat and sleep around but I refrain because I know that morally I shouldn't so why is it okay to be gay and it's not okay to cheat and sleep around, it's all just self control issues right??

I have heard it put like this : if gays are allowed to marry they then are able to reap the benefits of insurance and other married people stuff and most gay couples do not have the stamina to have a long lasting relationship therefore why increase the divorce rate and place children that they would adopt in a mess.

If God wanted gay people to be married when Adam was made he would not have made Eva. He mad woman from a man's rib for a reason. It is a sin!
