Basketball is a different game when you are that tall. The distance between your hands and the floor is almost double that of a player that stand a foot shorter. Then you have to consider that his arms are significantly longer too, so it makes it difficult to dribble the ball close to the body. Even the ball itself is disproportionate to Yao's body. He'll never be Shaq, but he is better than Manute Bol and Shawn Bradley. He is a top 5 center in the NBA right now. He is a funny guy too and there's something to be said for that considering he speaks very little English.

Don't knock him for his clumsiness. Knock him for his pansey-*** style of play. At his size, no one, and I mean NO ONE should be kicking him around. He's a freakin' rag doll! Kendrick Perkins and Al Jefferson of the CEltics beat him around easy in the paint. He needs to grow some balls or go back to asia and play. I makes me angry that he was blessed with that height he has and he doesn't use it to his advantage.

he would school you, and you would not even score a point. If he is clumsy and dunks in your face, then what does that tell you.
