Breasts, Leaking Colostrum
Testing, testing. Why your breasts leak in the third trimester and what you need to know about it.
What it is: Sometime during the third trimester, your breasts may start leaking a thin, yellowish fluid called colostrum — the precursor to the real thing: breast milk.
What causes it: Your body is making sure all systems are go — including your milk production system. Colostrum, the first milk your baby will get, contains more protein but less fat and sugar than mature breast milk, making it easier for baby to digest in the first few days after birth. Plus, it’s full of antibodies that’ll protect your baby as soon as he or she arrives.
What you need to know about it: If you’re not leaking colostrum but curious what it looks like, gently squeeze your areola to express a few drops. If none comes out, don’t worry, it will when the time is right — and when baby’s doing the milking.
What you can do about it: Usually only a few drops of colostrum leak, but if the flow is more than you’re comfortable with, then you can either wear nursing pads inside your bra or put away any tops you love until this fabulous fountain of life stops flowing.

yes they should its what the baby drinks in the first few days after birth, what you produce before producing milk. you can buy packs of little pad things which you put into ur bra so when you leak it won't ruine your bra they are washable. I got some for about 9.95 at the chemist with a pack 2 of 4 pads. they are good. i just started leaking aswell a few days ago, im 34 weeks

Yes, it's called colostrum, and is basically pre-milk. It's normal to start leaking before giving birth. Mine started leaking at about 8 months.
For the first few days after giving birth, colostrum is all you will produce...it's a thick, yellowish, highly nutritional substance your body produces (in very small quantities) to nourish your baby for the first few days he/she is born. Soon after, your milk comes in. My doctor referred to colostrum as "liquid gold."

Yes. Do not worry. It's called lactating. Some women do it for months, others only weeks before birth. Your doctor can give you pads, or your local pharmacy might sell them.
