PCs and monitors are very well shielded. You don't need to worry. The main thing to worry about is eyestrain and repetitive strain injury.

Make sure that you know - and practice (!) - the basics about sitting correctly, using the keyboard and mouse correctly, using the eyes correctly and taking frequent breaks.

Junk science rears its ugly head again. There is no real evidence that the small amount of radiation received is harmful, only anecdotal crap. People use magnetic therapy to treat different illnesses - doesn't help but doesn't harm either and that is much stronger than what you get from a computer. The only harm known at this point, aside from repetitive stress syndrome or bad posture, is using a laptop for a long time on a male lap. The heat weakens the sperm and may lower the sperm count. Has no affect on females other than to keep them warmer.

Don't worry. I use it 8 hours a day. I have been using it for 10 years. The radiation is not significant enough to cause cancer. I lot of other things around us have more radiation than a PC.

The thing is, computer manufacturers thought of that or there'd be a lot of law suits. So you really don't need to worry about either. If you want to worry about something, think of the microwaves coming out of ur cell phone.

Don't worry about either.

You'd get more radiation going outside to the mailbox and back.
