I am an educated, degreed professional who happens to like wrestling...and I take exception to your remarks. It seems that when someone doesn't understand something, their only refuge is to try to denegrate it. Why do I like wrestling? Because it's pure, escapist fun. It's not a sport; it's sports ENTERTAINMENT. It's like a type of soap opera in a way- but for guys as well as women....the storylines, the feuds, the divas, etc. Plus it has the hunky male athletes for all the females to salivate over. It's not catering to your intellect, and has never pretended to; it's catering to your ability to have fun and respect great athletic ability. And there IS plenty of athletic ability if you watch what these performers do in the ring...the performers often pay a heavy price through injury and even death. Yes, the outcomes are predetermined...everyone knows that, so stop parroting the same tired "it's fake" cliches. We get it, OK? If you don't like wrestling, for whatever reason, it's simple..DON'T WATCH. But stop wasting air bashing those who enjoy it. Enough said.

I can say the same thing about people who watch movies, soap operas & reality shows. They are fake too but they don't get condemmed for watching it. And don't even get me started on the so-called realism of reality shows. They are as fake as wrestling is just that the only difference is the media goes along with the nonesense & swear that it's real despite proof otherwise. It's enetertainment & if you feel the way you do than stop watching movies, soap operas,broadway plays etc. etc. Those are fake too.

First of all, it's NOT fake, it is SCRIPTED, or premeditated.
So yeah, at times the outcomes are planned and obvious, but
the fighting is for real, yep, some moves are meant to seem more devastating than they actually are, but if it was fake, they wouldn't be injured... Then Stone Cold, Chris Benoit and Edge wouldn't get their necks broken, and Droz wouldn't have become paralyzed and Owen Hart wouldn't die...
Second - It's just like a movie, or a tv series - you know what you see isn't for real, but still it's interesting and you enjoy it.
And three, and most important - CUZ WE LOVE IT!!

You know, I find it interesting when people make comments like the one you have just made. Like many other fictional shows on television, wrestling involves fictional storylines and action. With that said, why would you single out one program that is obviously similar to many others that are broadcast everyday (i.e. soap operas, comedies,some unrealistic dramas,etc.)? Many of the other shows shown on television are "fake" as well, right? (In other words, I am totally not "digging" your rationale.)
