The correct answer is "Only to the middle". Cos after that you'll walking OUT of the forest not IN. But lot of other answers made sence also. so I'll let you guys vote the best answer. And thanks for the wonderful answers guys.

1) one step-because after that you are walking within the forest.
2) halfway-because after that you are walking out of the forest.
3) All the way-because if your aim is to walk into the forest, one you are all the way in, you are done.

A painfull but short experience.
Forests are made of trees. So if you walk into a forest you walk into trees. Probably just one will be enough though.
