I hear you .....but mostly people take holidays away just to get away from the same scene, see new cultures, relax on white sandy beaches, see new historic buildings, ride on a gondola, see zebras and other wild life apart from cats and dogs you knowwww.

I'm going to lake district camping this summer for two weeks...the plan is if the weather's bad we will book a holiday abroad instead. UK cannot guarantee good weather, it's a sad fact...i'm looking forward to a holiday in the UK though...appreciate british culture for once!

I love having city breaks in the UK but when it comes to my two weeks, I want either a clean beach with a load of gorgeous bodies to check out, or a vastly different cultural experience (think: Vatican, Hong Kong, safari, etc). So unfortunately I will overlook some of the more beautiful and far-out places in the UK.

I think the tourist industry is getting better, but the real problem is it costs so much to holiday here - you can get to Thailand, stay in good accommodation, have wonderful beaches and a vastly different cultural experience for 2 weeks for the same price as a fortnight in Cornwall.

When the weather is good there is no where better in the World !!

Get down to Cornwall, have a pasty, drink some cider, cuddle a blonde..... Simply gorgeous !!

Or go to Wales, see that rain can be sideways, frezzin cold and bloody horrible and then they go and talk in some weird dialect... yakki dah or something...

Or go to Scotland and see how white people can be even whiter.... with ginger shiny hair..

Or go to Ireland and never remember it cos you was always blind drunk..

As I live abroard, then coming to the UK would be a holiday, perhaps I will to see relatives, but most of them want to come over here to see me.

most definitely ! The north of Scotland has the most fantastic scenery and the people are the friendliest you could meet. If we could be guaranteed sunshine i certainly wouldn't go abroad
