Can sport and politics ever be kept seperate or does one help the other?

If we win the World Cup it will sure help Blair. Not sure what he's ever done for sport though. It is said that national sporting success helps lift the spirit of the population and increases productivity.

Politics and sport should never mix. That goes the same for music. If you have a certain view on something say it away from the event not during or after.
