Because the number of people who really 'hate' Bush is small. His approval ratings are low so many don't care for what or how he's doing things but they don't 'hate' him.
As to why he's still President. Presidents must be impeached to be removed from office. For that to happen a majority of the House of Representatives must vote to impeach him before the actual impeachment can begin. The President is then tried by the Senate who must after hearing the evidence vote. It takes a two thirds majority to remove the President from office.
There's not even talk about impeachment amoung Democrats. Why? Because even though they don't like what he's doing there is not sufficient evidence he's actually committed impeachable offences. For the Democrats to push for impeachment without unquestionable proof would spell the total destruction of the Democratic party. Even Russ Feingold's (he's a Democrat) censure motion got no support from his fellow Democrats. In fact they (Democrats) used parlimentary proceedures to block it from being brought up for a vote.
Even if the Democrats did impeach Bush they would waste time and political capital they don't have and in the end Cheney would be the President. And I believe Democrats in Congress do hate Cheney.
So Democrats are in a total losing situation. They are the minority party (and they don't know how to play from a inferior postion) and so far all their bluster on every topic has been just that. Bluster with no viable alternatives.

A long time ago, America was a democracy, we voted and had our votes counted and who ever got the most was elected. George Bush has probably changed that forever. But hopefully we will be more diligent in the future and win back our democracy. We have elections coming up in November that will determine the congress and that will go a long way in determining our future. We are stuck with the worst president of all time until Jan. of 2009, he can't run again and that is so good.

Because no matter how stupid some people think Bush is, the rest of the world is hellbent on looking dumber than us. WE still elect our presidents and calmly support the process that does so, regardless of how angry the Michael Moores of the Democratic Party become. And irrespective of their venom, we still lower taxes to keep our economy strong and support positions to limit regulation to allow for real wealth creation while supporting the right kinds of regulation for a cleaner environment.

Isn't it funny how many people dislike Bush, I'd bet there are twice as many hate the traitor John Kerry, but he was the liberals hopeful. Why didn't they pick somebody with respect to run against Bush, they will most likely mess up again.

Only the liberals (people that dislike the government, capitalism is bad socialism is good, Christianity is bad paganism is good, bad is good, good is bad, etc.) dislike Pres. Bush. They can't think for themselves, can't express themselves without vulgarity, get all they're information from leftist leaning media. He will be President until the next elections in 2008, another President will be elected just like the one that is hated now, because the "haters" have no leadership, only contempt for all that is good, and girlymen.

Because there will always be neo-Dems, the leftist hate-filled socialists who despise America and the Constitution. It's against the law to shoot them, so they remain.
