World leaders had to protect their followers, without pushing them to extremes.
People in Arabian countries used to wear such clothes, much before Islam. To get protected from the unique climate of the region, these clothes are necessary.
Thus, Mohamed and Islam requires from Muslim to wear those!
It is a protection against the peculiarities of the climate!

First, not necessarily black or white clothes, they can use any other color.
Second, they believe that woman body could seduce guys, and as you might know, Muslims are banned of sex before marriage.
