I am inclined to say yes, as I feel it is far better then facial piercings and such. But then again, I am wondering if 13 is to young for the hygiene parts of it. What do you think?

Why do you think she wants to do this? To get attention by her friends, and to become popular. Instead of letting her do this, why not take her on a shopping spree, and to the salon to get some new highlights or something. And tell her she will get to do these things often if she works hard at school, keeps her attitude and grades sky high. If she doesn't listen, and actually has attitude problems, take some of her things away and tell her once that attitude is changed, you will get one thing back. if you keep doing great, you will eventually get all of your things back! Good luck, and hope this helped.

It depends on the situation. I do think getting your belly button pierced at the age of 13 is too young. I think it is best for her to do it at the age of 15. But before getting her belly button pierced, check out the outcomes that she may receive. Such as possible scarring and so on. Also, I know that she should wait until she is 15 years old, because it is not good for her image. In a way by her getting this procedure done at an young age is making her look like she is trying to be older than she is. Instead give her something nice that will take place of the belly piercing such as...a trip to a place that she likes or having the chance to go to a concert of her favorite artists. It is best to get her belly button pierced later on like her 15th birthday, but for now it is not within her age limit.

NOOOOOO WAY. I know that Im not that much older but I can tell you this. I when I was younger AROUND 15 i HAD FREINDS THAT HAD THERE BELLY BUTTONE AND TOUNGS PIERCED AND THEY WERE TO GROWN FOR THERE AGE. A 13 year old child needs to be a 13. Go to the mall with your friends and get a cell phone but a belly piercing means there going to show it off an the more skin these young girls cover up the better

I'm 13, and I asked my mother the same exact thing: "Can I get mine done for my 13th?" The fact is this: It's horrible for you. It causes many problems during pregnancy, and if it gets infected, it costs lots of money to treat it. You can also die from getting it pierced if they pinch a nerve. In some cases, if they do pinch a nerve, the person can never have a child. I'm glad I didn't get it pierced. Actually, the only reason I know all this is because I was searching online for things that say that it ISN'T bad for you. Instead I learned otherwise.

Get it carried out by using a specialist. Doing it at house is the dumbest concept. And in case you're mom is comfortable with it, you may probable get it pierced, however the expert ought to be comfortable with it additionally, some piercing/tattoo places won't do piercings on human beings under a undeniable age. some places the age could be 13, 14, 15 or perhaps sixteen. it relies upon the place you go.

i have a 13 yr old and she only has her ears done, but my niece wanted hers done so so bad that her mother gave in she was 13 or 14 any way it didn't last long she got tired of it and took it out and you cant even tell that it was done. I myself got mine done at the age of 30 and its not done any longer. It doesn't hurt during the piercing but the after is a pain. It just comes down to what u the parents choose, what u think is best for your child. If you decide to say yes, you will need to have some sea salt, that is what u use to clean the piercings with and you will need to take in her birth certificate to the shop and you will have to sign for her. Don't go to any shop, go to one you know is a clean one and to one that knows what they are doing.

Body piercing should not be done while someone is a teenager because it is so inappropriate. Ear piercing is normal but piercing ones belly button may put forth a message to other kids about your child. Worse of all, you do not want to draw unwanted attention from boys because she is also to young to date.

NO. I have a twelve year old and the only piercings she can have are the ones in her ears. When she is old enough to do it without my permission, then she is old enough to decide if it is a good idea. Most twelve year olds can't even keep parts they were born with properly sanitized. Why give them another opening to be responsible for.
