Because of my respect for woman. I told my son that when ever striking one, to use an open hand. Punching with a closed fist can cause damage and bleeding, not to mention hurting ones hand. A slap is sufficient. Do you agree?

First taking law into your own hand and to try to hit or even slap any body, that too a fair sex, is wrong and to teach it to your son is still worse. This is not done in a civised society but only in jungle since it is the LAW OF THE JUNGLE TO SAY AN EYE FOR AN EYE A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH I NOT ONLY WANT A POUND OF FLESH BUT A DROP OF BLOOD TOO.

Why not try love and affection and persuation and non violence etc methods.

boy did u teach ur son WRONG !!!!! I'm thinkin jail time will be around the corner. You never strike a woman in any manor. How would u like it if a woman decided to take something n hit you with it would that be sufficient ?? I mean hittin you in the balls would what only hurt you for a bit. A man never hit a woman. If i see it happen i will beat the hell out of that man. Not even when he uses a open hand. I will smack him one like if he is a B***H. So learn your son to show respect for the woman, and never hit one. So let a woman hit you with her fist and putt a knee between your legs.

My sister was abuse by her husband for the longest. She finally had the guts to divorce him. ANY MAN THAT HIT A WOMAN IS NOT A REAL MAN!!! If your son hit a woman these days, he will get a bullet. If a woman put her hand on him, he needs to walk away and leave her alone.

If you had respect for women, you WOULDN'T STRIKE THEM AT ALL. The only time it would EVER be justified in striking a woman would be if it was in dire self-defense, and that would ONLY be enough force to stop her.
