We always painted the chigger bites with clear nail polish when I was a little girl. Since you describe them as "massive" you probably need to see a dr for a prescription of prednisone or atarax. The itching can make you insane, I remember, because the more you scratch the worse it itches. Good luck!!

Homeopathy:-
1.ARNICA 200
2.LEDUM PAL 200
3.NATRIUM MUR 200
These three together will bring relief to the bites of any insect or serpent. Take one dose a day. In case of a Snake bite give 3 or 4 doses at an hours interval the first day and second day after that just one dose a day till 100% well and stop !
Take Care and God Bless

My wife had these bast*&ds last year. You can use "Chigger X". Walmart has it or paint each of them with clear fingernail polish. Either way, it takes awile to get rid of them. Good luck and try not to scratch too much.

I have never seen anyone with these bites but putting bleach on mosquito bites, poison ivy, sumac, &oak helps with the itch and dries those ailments up faster. Sounds horrible but it does work and it never burned me or my children. Shouldn't hurt to try

Try painting them with clear nail polish. My exhusband used to soak in bleach water. He swore it helped.
