Your question is the problem. We are Americans first, that is we should be. Until the race implications are dropped in our society, people like you will always have it as a stone to throw. Instead of :African American., it should be American with African heritage. Or American with Asian heritage. Using the country that you are a citizen of first instead of last would be a big help in ending how we treat each other. be an American first policy should be used by all of us.
