only recently have there been bodycounts in wars, and even those are questionable numbers. And how many wars were there in pre-history, or amongst tribal nations in every continent, that were never even recorded at all?

If I had to guess how many jellybeans are in this particular jar, I'd say roughly 10 billion... taking into consideration that modern wars are far more deadly, but that our species goes back 300,000 years, and we've had wars all along based on archeological evidence and scripture.

well, we can't really answer that because there are many theories in how old this earth is......but i'm guessing a lot of people. However, there has also been a similar number of births, therefore, the constrast of the killed and born is not that big...
and to sweet_cookie: when she says she applauds for the soldiers that defend their country, they are actuallly all caught up in the war, they too kill, so their good-natured belief to defend their country doesn't justify their rights to kill their enemy
aca, in iraq, they say they r defendin their country when logically, the usa and americans are 20000 miles away...ironic eh?

Far too many people have died to be able to merely count

And on and on it goes,.we never learn from experience , from past futile contests .

The mindless slaughter goes on and on.
; How sad it is, that human beings, feel the need to slaughter each other . ( animals don't )

It is never justifiable, to fight and kill others ,. nobody is ever a winner in a war

The worst culprits , for killing people, are those that make and sell the killing weapons for wars, for vaste profits.

I do however applaud those who defend their country., sadly they often pay the ultimate price, to die in the defence of others.
