l think once they get to secondary school parents need to start easing up a bit and letting them be a little more independent.
Once you start secondary school you are at a stage where you are turning into a young adult and you deserve to be treated like one.

Teens should be allowed to go out at the age of 15 years old. The reason for this is because this is usually the age when teens are beginning to mature. They have more responsibilities and things to take care of. Also they tend to make better choices at this age too. But really, it depends on the teenager. How they carry themselves and handle their responsibilities the right ways. An irresponsible teenager who is disrespectful should not have the right to go out because there is a chance for possible danger when involving them. Although you may have teenagers younger than the ages of 15 doing their jobs and what they are supposed to do, I still believe the ideal age for teens to go out is 15.

I'd say 16 is a good age!! It shows maturity (at times) and trust. The only problem with that is strict parents may keep children in and not let them do anything when they get older then they go absolutely crazy!! (I'm a child of strict parents) I wasnt allowed to do anything when i was 16!! I couldn't even go to the movies with my friends. At 17 i was allowed to do SOmE things but not very many!! Now that i'm 18 (almost) I'm allowed to do alot of things, not because they trust me, because i needed to get out and experience things. It's not good to keep children sheltered their whole lives because when they get older they throw out everything their parents have told them in their lifetime and go NuTz!! So i'd say 16 is a reasonable age!!!!

I am 17 now. I was allowed to date at 15, but it was controlled. When I am a mom, I will allowed my teen to go out when they are responsible enough.

Well, it depend where they are going out. With their friends, I'd say as young as 8 or 9. But to the mall with guys, I'd say when you can trust them or about the age of 13, or 14, when they know what they can and cant do, and when they know effects to what they do wrong.

it all depends on maturity, i have a 13 yr old who is very mature, but I still don't let her go places with out adult supervision and she is very trust ful, but, Its the part where I dont trust other people, a lot can happen to young kids now days, If I don't let her get in a situation then she don't have to deal with any situation. I would say about 16 that is when they can get there drivers permit, but only with a curfew, and no parties.
