My research has shown that life for middle class working Americans has always been better under Democratic administrations. Pay scales were better, expendable income fueled the economy, first time house buyers were a strong market and overall a bright future for beginning family’s was the norm. It begs the question how did GW get a second term.

Big money backs republicans. It's sad but true. GW is all for the oil tycoons getting rich while we slave away and pay for crazy gas prices.

I'm working a class Republican, and I'm much better off now than I was during the Clinton years.

Pay scales were better? Didn't they just raise minimum wages? Credit cards don't count as expendable income- sooner or later the bills come.

And yes, first time house buyers are screwed now, unless they have a lot of money, but that's only because it's a seller's market right now. (In FL., at least) Works for me, because my house is worth almost twice what it was just 2 years ago. But that's going to cool off sooner or later- it has to. Prices of houses are finally starting to edge back down.

How did he get reelected? He was the better man for the job.

Because we know that Democrats would turn this country into a welfare state, with higher taxes and higher unemployment and less, significantly less, freedom.

We know Social Security is a scam that only fools approve of. It robs us of 14% of our pay, and the meager benefits can be taken away from us at any time. Clinton even started taxing those benefits, so the government can take even more money.

The Democrats also support legislation from the bench, the usurpation of the peoples' rights and powers by liberal judges who enact their bizzare social agendas on the people. This is tyranny, but it is endorsed by the Dems.

The GOP is far from perfect, but they at least pay lip service to the Constitution and personal freedom and less government.

The Dems look to turn the US into another socialist hell.

Maybe because an honest, hard working, middle class American wouldn't want so much of his hard earned money taxed to pay for entitlements and wasteful social programs. I also take issue with your claim that the middle class has always had it better under democrats. Not true.

You might actually want to know what you're talking about before asking and answering your own question.

To anyone with an acurate understanding on the issues you address, you sound like an imbecile.

Of course by default that eliminates about 99% of all liberals.

the first answerer needs to get off the illusionist band wagon and realize that the Republiican Party is NOT the Party of God.

I'd say it's idiocy. The democratic party was designed for the working man, and anyone who can't see that is wasting their vote.

I am a working class citizen, I am also republican. Most republicans and working class people are also Christians. It makes sense. I am very much for Bush, but more for the voting against the horrible, and getting Bush, then getting him.

Simple..
Bush (or should I give credit to Karl Rove) played the 'Fear Card' with the American public. Fear is one of the most motivating factor for any human action. Bush was then presented as a saviour to the American public. Who is most influenced? The ordinary working class American.
