No, because it is unclear if there will ever be enough diplomatic pressure put on them.

The EU-3 who negotiated with them for the past 2 years have accomplished nothing, because their heavy dependence upon Middle East oil makes them afraid to exert any real pressure - like threats of sanctions and embargos.

China supports Iran because of oil, and Russia because of oil.

Without any help, there is very little pressure the US alone can assert, short of threatening hostilities.

I really do not see a good solution happening here.

If they are only doing this as a ruse to get the West to give them money and refined uranium with which to attack Israel in exchange for not doing it themselves, then yes.

If they want to attack Israel only with uranium that they enrich themselves, then no.

In case I haven't emphasized it sufficiently, what is the common denominator in the last two sentences? What have they repeatedly said they want to do to Israel...?

Would you give weapons to someone who had already made murderous threats against somebody in the neighborhood, just because they started saying that they had the right to arms for self-defense...?

Why is it wrong and unacceptable when a person says it but right and acceptable when a nation says it?
