Yes,Japanese-American citizens were forced into internment
camps. When the war broke out,it was felt by many that extreme
measures had to be taken in the interests of national security.

Yes they were, but at least we didn't massacre them by the millions. They also had the option to be released if they pledged their loyalty and allegiance to the USA and denounced Japan.
